Adhering to Fujifilm Group’s aim of developing into a company that can make a greater contribution towards a sustainable society, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) recognizes its role and responsibilities at the forefront of sustainability as it pursues business excellence. We have strictly followed the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) improvement cycle with the support of our pioneering Intelligent Environmental, Social and Governance (iESG) 2.0 management tool that ensures the accuracy and validity of our qualitative and quantitative sustainability data through data consolidation. Anchored by our “open, fair and clear” corporate culture, this report is developed to facilitate a better understanding of Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) in terms of our business development plans and latest goals and initiatives. We also aim to address the sustainability issues that are important to our stakeholders, as well as demonstrate how we incorporate sustainability values into our management approach at every level.
This is our 11th annual sustainability report that follows the Japanese financial year which officially ends on 31 March. As such, the projects and plans mentioned in this report may be still in progress, may have been completed, or may be scheduled to roll out in the next fiscal year.

The Fujifilm Group has developed the approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that contribute to the sustainable development of society by putting its Corporate Philosophy into practice through sincere and fair business activities. Under the approach, FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation has established the Sustainable Value Plan (SVP) 2030 in 2017 which the Fujifilm Group will introduce further measures to resolve social issues through its business activities, including the launch of innovative technologies, products and services.
Our parent company Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. first published the Fuji Xerox Environmental Progress Report 1998 in 1999, followed by the Environmental Report from 2000 to 2002 and eventually the Sustainability Report https://www.fujixerox.com/eng/company thereafter. As an operating company overseas, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) ensures making appropriate information disclosures as well as verifying if our business activities are responding to the needs of all our stakeholders whenever possible, thereby creating value to our stakeholders and reflecting our business performance. Although we are not a listed company in Hong Kong and are not obligated to publish this report, we believe that sustainability reporting is a valuable means of stakeholder engagement. We expect to ensure the integrity of our decision-making processes, enhance our CSR management and comply with international, local and industrial requirements under the GRI standards through active disclosure. Ultimately, we expect to make an active influence on our stakeholders by further advocating local changes, addressing social issues and strengthening the bonding between us and the society.
Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) undertakes regular materiality assessments to identify pertinent issues in accordance with the GRI standards and evaluate their relevance to our business and stakeholders. We have also adopted other applicable guidelines and principles, such as AccountAbility’s AA1000 Standards.
Since we published our first Sustainability Report in 2010, we have defined the report’s material aspects by reviewing the feedback from the Fuji Xerox Annual CSR Survey, which was developed based on international and Japanese standards and guidelines, including but not limited to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives’ New Corporate Assessment Standards and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) attaches high importance to the relationships with our suppliers. We have been committed to strengthening our CSR foundation across the whole supply chain, covering the environment, ethics and human rights. To ensure our suppliers recognize the importance of CSR management and pursue continuous improvement, we actively and frequently communicate with them on our CSR philosophy and management approach, and thereby we can grow and respond to the rapidly changing business environment together. With the concerted efforts we have made over the years, we are pleased to see that many suppliers have developed green and sustainable procurement strategies in line with ours. We will continue to leverage our influence over the supply chain and hence contribute to a sustainable society.
To achieve sustainable development, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) developed its first Environmental Policy in 1985 and replaced it with our Sustainability Policy in 2010. With the implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in the second half of 2002, environmental considerations have been integrated into different areas of our business. The system has also facilitated our pursuit of continuous improvement through the PDCA improvement cycle. Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) fully recognizes and supports the efforts FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation and Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. have made in incorporating sustainability into every aspect of the entire value chain. The establishment of SVP 2030 has motivated us to actively minimize the environmental impact of our business processes, provide customers with products and services that help reduce their environmental footprint and promote sustainable paper procurement.
Committed to supporting cultural development and creating a better society, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) serves people from all walks of life, particularly those in need, through our strong and caring “Volunteer Network”. We advocate the collaboration with local communities as a responsible corporate citizen and respond to the society’s needs and expectations through initiating and promoting different volunteering programs, including those focusing on environmental conservation, child welfare and cultural preservation. We also treasure the opportunities to work with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and institutions that strengthen the relationship between us and the society and allow us to support our future generations. The regular collaborations with universities and academic institutions offer students an important opportunity to integrate innovative ICT applications into their daily lives. The engagement with local communities represented a valuable means of social contribution despite of the challenges from social unrest and the outbreak of COVID-19 in FY2019.
